The stamp is back!
It's been ages since I first put the stamp up and campaigned for the Universal Declaration on Animal Welfare. Back then (July 07) it had just reached 500,000. As of now (Sep 09) it is nearly the big 2 million mark. 2008 January 08: over 1 million names. May 19th: 1,472,296 names July 14th: 1,574,283 names August 9th: 1,611,410 names October 2nd: 1,670,132 names December 15: 1,829,861 names 2009 January 17th: 1,873,782 names March 26th: 1,946,560 names April 23rd: 1,958,919 names May 17: 1,975,716 names July 21: 1,981,836 names September 16: 1,987,176 names October 20: 1,987,176 names -- There appears to be a glitch preventing any new names from being added to the numbers November 12 - 1,937,765 -- likely due to the removal of double names, etc. Straight from http://www.animalsmatter.org/: Why you should sign The Universal Declaration is an agreement among people and nations to recognise that animals are sentient beings and can suffer, to respect their welfare needs, and to end animal cruelty - for good.
